Tulsi Gabbard, entinen kongressiedustaja Havaijilta, on saanut yllättävän nosteen urallaan ja hänet on vahvistettu Yhdysvaltojen tiedustelupäälliköksi. Republikaanit äänestivät hänen puolestaan, mutta hyväntahtoinen hymy hyytyi, kun eräät GOP:n jäsenet, kuten senaattori Mitch McConnell, äänestivät vastaan.
