Tom Cruise paljastaa dramaattisia hetkiä Mission: Impossible -elokuvan kuvauksista, joissa hän menetti tajuntansa. Mitä tapahtui koneen yläpuolella?

Tom Cruise, tuo huimapää Hollywoodin näyttelijä, on jälleen kerran ylittänyt itsensä ja esittänyt uskomattomia temppuja elokuvassa 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning'. Äskettäin Tom kertoi, että hän menetti tajuntansa useaan otteeseen kuvauksen aikana, kun hän roikkui ylösalaisin lentokoneen kyljestä. Kävi ilmi, että huimissa korkeuksissa työskentely ei ole aivan sitä, miltä se näyttää – ja että napin painamisen ja näyttämisen välillä on helposti vain yksi ohuen henkosäikeen pituinen ero.

Kuvauksissa oli jännittäviä hetkiä, kun Tom teki hengenvaarallisia temppuja, joita vain harvat ihmiset uskaltavat kokeilla. Kun lentokone kieppui taivaalla, Tom löysi itsensä usein ulkopuolella – ja se ei ollut hänen parhaimmillaan. Moonlight-henkisissä kohtaamisissaan ohjaaja Christopher McQuarrie ja Tom jakoivat toivomuksiaan ja tavoitteitaan, mutta näyttelijän keho ei aina kestänyt vauhtia. Kuka olisi uskonut, että lentokoneen voimakkaat tuulet voisivat olla niin pelottavia, että näyttelijä itse menettää tajuntansa?

Lennon tuuletukselle ja adrenalineille ei ollut loppua, sillä Tomin uskottava esitys teki elokuvasta varsin sykähdyttävän. Hän sanoi, että tunne roikkua lentokoneen kyljessä ylösalaisin oli yhdistelmä pelkoa ja hämmennystä – mutta se oli myös palavan intohimon tulosta. "Se on osa näyttelijäurani parasta. Kun näet kameran rullaavan, tunnet tuon puristuksen, ja se pitää minut elävänä," Tom kommentoi. Pakko myöntää: pääsemmekö ihan oikeasti odottamaan, mitä kaikkea meestari Tom kehittää seuraavissa elokuvissa?

Tom Cruisen kyky tuntea itsensä eläväksi, jopa hilpeän vaarallisissa tilanteissa, on osa hänen vetovoimaansa. Hänen uransa on täynnä huikeita temppuja ja unohtumattomia rooleja, mutta tämä tapaus nostaa aivan uuden tason hänen näyttelijäkyvyistään. Kuka tietää, ehkä seuraavassa Mission: Impossible -elokuvassa Tom päättääkin hypätä avaruuden halki? Ja muistakaa, että kaikki tämä tapahtuu vain muutama askel kohti vapaata putoamista. Tiesittekö, että Tom on jopa harjoitellut vapaasukellusta?!

Ja tietysti – jos ajattelit yllättyä siitä, että Tom Cruise menettää tajuntansa, olet varmasti unohtanut täysin huimapäiset stuntit, joita hän on jo tehnyt aiemmin! Tietysti kaikki tietävät, että yhden stuntin tekeminen on vaarallisempaa kuin olla kuin Kummitusmustikka kisoissa, mutta Tomin hurjat stuntit kokevat jatkuvasti uusia rajojansa! Jos tämä ei ole todiste siitä, että elokuvanteko voi olla vaarallisempaa kuin vetäytyminen kivikkopolkua alas, niin emme tiedä, mikä on!
