Concordin alussa vain kuusi pelaajaa: missä vika?

PlayStationin uusi peli Concord on saanut osakseen sekä kiitosta että kritiikkiä. Mistä johtuu, että pelaajamäärät jäävät niin alas?

PlayStation julkaisi hiljattain uuden hero shooter -pelinsä, Concordin, mutta se on saanut osakseen alhaisia pelaajamääriä Steamissä. Huolimatta siitä, että peli on ollut kehityksessä jo kahdeksan vuotta, sen avausvuorokausi kirjasi vain 697 samanaikaista pelaajaa. Hintalapukkinan on 40 dollaria, mikä on varmasti vaikuttanut pelaajien kiinnostukseen. Mitä oikein tapahtui, ja miksi niin moni näyttää olevan skeptinen pelin suhteen?

Vaikka Concord on saanut suurilta osin positiivista palautetta pelaajilta, alhainen käyttäjämäärä herättää huolia. Monet pelaajat ja kriitikot ovat ihmetelleet, onko pelin hinnoittelu liruväliä väärässä, vai kaipaisiko se vain parempia markkinointistrategioita. Pelissä on hienoja ominaisuuksia ja innostava grafiikka, mutta pelin pitkä kehitysaika ei näytä tuottaneen tulosta ainakaan pelaajamäärissä.

Kaiken kaikkiaan Concordille on alkanut näkyä valoa tunnelin päässä, sillä peli on saamassa päivityksiä ja kehittäjät ovat sitoutuneet kuuntelemaan pelaajayhteisöään. Kenties tulevat päivitykset muuttavat kehityssuunnitelmia ja herättävät uusia pelaajia kokeilemaan tätä pitkään odotettua peliä.

Mielenkiintoisia faktoja: Concord julkaistiin PC:lle vain kuukausi sen jälkeen, kun se oli ensimmäisen kerran paljastettu Sony PlayStationin pelitapahtumassa.
