Avoimiin kisamattoihin astui suuria nimiä ja suuria hetkiä, kun Georgian judo-ikonista, Guram Tushishvilista, tuli viime aikojen puheenaihe. Kilpaillessaan Robertin Henriquezin DVD-juoma huuruissa, Tushishvili teki tekemättömän — hän potkaisi ilmaa vastaantulevan Teddy Rinerin suuntaan ja tuloksena oli nopea hylkäys! Molemmat judokilpailijat näyttivät, ettei judo pelkästään ole kamppailu, vaan myös taidetta, jossa näkyy intohimo ja jokaisen liikkeen merkitys. Rinerin tulee olemaan mielenkiintoista seurata, kun hän ansaitsee paikkansa judohistorian sivuille, kun taas Tushishvili voi ehkä pohtia, mikä potku kosketti häntä enemmän — voitto vai tappio.

Mielenkiintoista on tietää, että Teddy Riner on ainoa judoko, joka on voittanut olympiavoittoja kolmesti ja hän on myös voittanut useita maailmanmestaruuksia.
