Diageo luopuu Pampero-rummeista ja Safari-hedelmälikööristä keskellä myyntikiihkeää jaksoa - Montenegron yllättävä rooli rommin omistajaksi

Diageo jatkaa divestointejaan myymällä venezuelalaisen Pampero-rummin Gruppo Montenegrolle. Tämä siirto seuraa hiljattain tehtyä kauppaa, jossa Diageo myi hedelmäaromilla maustetun liköörin, Safarin, Casa Redondolle. Montenegron Gruppo Montenegro saa nyt haltuunsa Pampero-rommin, kun Diageo päätti luopua siitä vain kahden viikon kuluttua edellisestä myyntikaupasta. Samalla OSCE:n Missio Montenegron johtaja Waag on luovuttanut suosituksiaan järjestäytyneestä rikollisuudesta ja korruptiosta Montenegrossa, tukien merkittävästi todisteiden pohjalta tehtäviä johtopäätöksiä. Montenegron hallituksen neuvosto privatisoinnista ilmoittaa tarjoavansa vähemmistöosuuksia neljästä yrityksestä myytäväksi Montenegron pörssissä vuonna 2024. Diageo on vahvistanut myyneensä venezuelalaisen rommibrändin Pamperon ja hedelmäaromilla maustetun liköörin Safarin kahdessa erillisessä kaupassa. Lopulta, kapteeni Morganin omistaja Diageo on sopinut myyvänsä Pampero-rommin Italiaan Gruppo Montenegrolle salaisella kauppasummalla.
