Presidentti Biden on joutunut paineen alle osalta demokraateista vetäytyäkseen kisasta viime viikon katastrofaalisen vaalitentin jälkeen. Hän on kuitenkin vakuuttanut: 'En lähde', Biden kirjoitti keräyspostissa. Tapasi demokraattisia kuvernöörejä Valkoisessa talossa ja kertoi pysyvänsä kisassa. Hän myös kertoi käyneensä lääkärintarkastuksessa viime viikon tapahtumien jälkeen. Biden lupasi kampanjatiimilleen, että hän pysyy ehdokkaana huolimatta vaisusta tenttiesityksestä ja kasvavasta paineesta. Muun muassa Gavin Newsom, Gretchen Whitmer ja Andy Beshear olivat paikalla tapaamassa Bideniä. Ainakin kymmenen kuvernööriä osallistui kokoukseen etänä. Minnesotan kuvernöörin mukaan Biden on 'kykenevä hoitamaan virkaansa'. Lisäksi hän kertoi hienovaraisesti demokraattikuvernööreille, että hän ei luovuta vuoden 2024 kisassa.
