Ilmastoaktivistiryhmä Just Stop Oil järjesti provokaation, maalaten Stonehengen oranssiksi päivää ennen kesäpäivänseisausta, jolloin odotettiin tuhansien ihmisten saapuvan paikalle. Vaikka tapahtuma herätti laajaa närkästystä, englantilaisen Heritage-päällikkö Dr. Nick Merriman iloitsi, ettei näkyvää vahinkoa tapahtunut. Poliisi pidätti kaksi miestä protestin jälkeen, mutta heidät on sittemmin vapautettu odottamaan lisätutkimuksia.
