New York Rangers on solminut suomalaishyökkääjä Kaapo Kakon kanssa yhden vuoden mittaisen sopimuksen arvoltaan 2,4 miljoonaa dollaria. Vaikka Kakko on rajoitettu vapaa agentti, tämä jatkosopimus ei vielä välttämättä tarkoita, että hän pelaisi seuraavalla kaudella New Yorkissa.
