Ranskalaisen vankilan kuljetusauto joutui aseellisen hyökkäyksen kohteeksi, jolloin vanki Mohamed Amra, lempinimeltään "Kärpänen", pääsi karkuun. Amralla on yhteyksiä huume­kauppaan ja hänet vapautettiin aseistautuneiden miesten hyökättyä kuljetusauton kimppuun. Hyökkääjät surmasivat kaksi vartijaa ja haavoittivat vakavasti kolmea muuta. Paikalliset kuvasivat ampumisen olleen äärimmäisen voimakasta, noin 30-40 laukausta. 31-vuotias Mohamed Amra oli matkalla oikeudesta vankilaan Evreuxiin, kun hyökkäys tapahtui. "Kärpäsen" lisäksi häntä on kutsuttu "huume­pomoksi" ja hänet on nyt pakoilemassa viranomaisia. Ranskan toimesta on käynnistetty mittava miesjahti hänet tavoittaakseen.
