Uusi IEA-verkkoresurssi seuraa ilmastonmuutoksen edistymistä

IEA:n verkkoresurssi seuraa uusia energia-tavoitteita, mukaan lukien uusiutuvan energian kapasiteetin triplaus ja energiatehokkuuden parantaminen vuoteen 2030 mennessä. Lue lisää!

Uusi IEA-verkkoresurssi on otettu käyttöön ilmastonmuutoksen edistymisen seuraamiseksi. Tavoitteisiin kuuluu uusiutuvan energian kapasiteetin triplaus ja energiatehokkuuden parantaminen kaksinkertaiseksi vuoteen 2030 mennessä. Tämä edistää siirtymistä pois fossiilisista polttoaineista ja kohti kestävämpää energiakäyttöä.

Osavaltion julkishallinnon palveluiden osaston (DCAS) henkilökunta yhdessä pormestari Eric Adamsin kanssa esitteli suunnitelman tuoda käyttöön 1 000 uutta sähköautoa korvaamaan fossiilipolttoaineilla toimivat kaupungin ajoneuvot. Tämä osoittaa kaupungin sitoutumisen kestävään kehitykseen ja ilmastotavoitteisiin.

Ilmastosuunnan kannattajien mukaan kaupunkien rooli voi olla merkittävä ilmastonmuutoksen torjunnassa. Esimerkiksi uusien sähköautojen käyttöönotto voi vähentää hiilidioksidipäästöjä huomattavasti ja edistää puhtaampaa kaupunkiympäristöä.
