Jääkiekon NHL:ssä pelaava veteraanihyökkääjä Jeff Carter on ilmoittanut jääkiekkoilu-uransa päättymisestä. Carter aloitti uransa Philadelphia Flyersin riveissä vuonna 2003 varaamalla numerolla 11 NHL:n varaustilaisuudessa. Hänet tunnetaan kahdesti Stanley Cup -mestarina ja nyt uran päätettäkseen hän edusti Pittsburgh Penguinsia. Carter jättää jääkiekkokaukalot taakseen voitettuaan kaksi Stanley Cupia ja tehden yhteensä 442 maalia urallaan.

Pittsburgh Penguinsin ottelussa New York Islandersia vastaan Carter nosti itselleen erityisellä tavallaettä kotijoukkue pyysi häntä suorittamaan voiton kierroksen.
