Vaikka näyttelijä tunnustaa olevansa sydämensä pohjasta surullinen roolinsa poistamisesta, hän korostaa, että ei tunne kaunaa ohjaaja Denis Villeneuvea kohtaan. Merkittävää on myös Villeneuven myöntämä kova päätösten tekemisen tarve Frank Herbertin tieteiskirjan sovittamisessa elokuvaksi.
